In Shenyang

I've arrived in China safe and sound!  I was greeted (or mobbed) at the airport by Emily's family.  Not only did they take some pictures, but they also brought me a warmer jacket to wear.  You can see the photo of me with Emily and her parents.  Yes, it is pretty cold in Northern China!  Tomorrow, Emily and I will go to Harbin, which is even colder.  Don't worry, plenty of food photos are on the way!

Waiting to Board

Welcome back for another installment of world travel!  This time the destination is China!  I'm at Dulles airport as I type waiting to board my direct flight to Beijing.  We'll see if a year of Mandarin classes pays off!
